CONFINEment,

I was confined; YES I was confined for one darn night, reason being for bayonet kena ’stunt’ (an abbreviation that all army guy should know). There’s no point cursing and swearing as I deserved the mistake done, I couldn’t exactly remembered how many times my 4D number was taken down for not polishing of boots, for not putting a bar of soap in my field pack for the 16km road march (it’s not as if w/o the soap will make it lighter, but the discipline to do what was ordered I figured that out later.) I was more or less black listed! MAN @_____@ zzzz I just need to be punish to wake up I guess.
Had our 16km road march this week, and it rain at our 12km point; I guess it was a double edge sword cux with the rain everyone was like chionging to the end point forgetting all the tiredness but the downside was that our boots were soaking like submarine la, and blisters all pop up like no one business. The moment I pulled out my socks, I saw 2 totally wrinkly-pale feet with all the toes adhered together as one! @__@ 24km road march next Monday!

Then it was SOC. Finally I cleared all the obstacles in SBO attire, I even cleared the low rope which I’d never cleared before in SBO, but sadly I didn’t meet the timing to finish the obstacles, but hey at least I improved from 3 obstacles that I can’t cleared to 0!
Then there was IPPT. Was aiming for sliver this time; but my SBJ stop me from getting it with all other station at least a sliver point, sian. For some reasons I just can’t seem to jump far. . . oh and my 2.4km was 10mins flat this time round! 9 min barrier here I come real soon!

And as for the confinement, other confine-nist were busy clearing up the stores and stuff, I was training with other drills squad members for the upcoming drills competition. When the training was done, the store-stuff were more or less done, that we played basketball, badminton, watch movie, pool, ping pong and stuff. It was more like a stay in after drill practice than a punishment for me (though I did help up in some chores too).

Having said that, the longing for family during the overnight-stay was really terrible, I was tossing round my bed and thinking of my family members before I could really get to sleep. That itself is more than a punishment already.

wooooTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT satisfy

Buffet outlet outta there: Here a warning, army guys come pay a visit, be prepared to make some loses, especially those after major field camp!

Both John and I had just finished our field camp recently that we decided to head straight to buffet to fill up those growling stomach. We headed to KUSHI-BO @ Suntec. He even flagged a taxi there, claiming you don’t want to be late, as the queue will be darn long, so yea finally agreed to the fact that army guys spend money like water, lol!

In the end both of us were so filled up that we could hardly walk, I had to walk staggered with both my hand supporting my tummy; and really felt like vomiting and relieving myself! I really cant imagine I dung in 6 of those little cookies after im 110% full! KUSHI-BO had this funny system that every now and then, they will air this jingle ‘KUSHI-BO, KUSHI-BO, KUSHI-BO, KUSHI-BO. We’re KUSHI-BO’, and the crowd will gather at this area where special food limited to 25 customers would be served. We manage to get this grilled mackerel and tiger prawns as well!

It was only later the day that I realize from the guru-mel that one spend so much on buffet was to taste the wide variety of food available, not just spamming on certain ‘good food’ and making yourself uncomfortable at the end of day. Start with soup to clear your throat, some salad, and then the miscellaneous, follow by desserts before ending with other miscellaneous.

Thereafter Clins drop by and the 3 of us had good long talks, with me sharing lots of funny/sad moments.

I continued my Jap-food spree the next day with mel, had soba at this restaurant called shimazhu soba @ Paragon; can’t remembered the exact name though. They had this diagram teaching you the correct procedure on eating soba, and as usual I tried to eat it in the most original way possible, LOL

Chilled at Gloria’s Jean, before John and Clins arrived and we catch the movie ‘Murder of the Inugami Clan’ exclusive shown at cathay orchard and amk hub. The movie did keep me in suspend for sometime before it started to get real lame and was laughing throughout, when a guy head being chopped off (I know it sounded disturbing, but really the action was really comical that nearly half of the crowd laugh!)

blaBLa

A total of 11 days was spend detached from my family and closed ones; w/0 any form of communication or what not cux I left my HP at home! @__@

And so I just completed my 6 days of field camp . . . details of it I didn’t want to write down, unless u asked me verbally. . .

Did my own reflection, and finally accept that I am really a hybrid of kang-chiong spider +blur sotong, which at time obstructing my team’s mission progression. I did gave my best, but sometime blur people like me just screwed things up; hopefully someday I learned to be calm and stand up for myself.

Lots of interesting things did happened at camp, too tired to type them up, asked me up if u guys are just curious. . .

Felt SO waRM

Yesterday went back to Rob CP; the place where I’d once worked as promoter! All the auntie promoters were like “aiyo kaijie, where your hair, aiyo you become thinner, tanner, more man laio and kind of things”. Really had a long talks with them man! From 1 end to the other, saying hi to all of them, and is really sweet that they still recognized me, even the security guard remembered me la! The cashier even gave me some free gift when I bought some items there yesterday, Sheeezzzzzzzzzz. . .

anotehr of those BOOK out day

Woooooooooooot! This week had been Very happening! First I finally passed my IPPT, with my pull up need to increased 7 to 8 & SBJ increased another 5cm to obtain a sliver. I’d totally no idea how I ran a timing of 10.25mins for my 2.4km la, first time to reach <11mins!

After which was the tiring SIT-TEST! Which bring forth, 3 days w/o shitting, w/o brushing of teeth, having combat ration (imagine some curry pasta packed in a green pack and ready to be eaten once you unzipped it), blisters all over my feet, aching all over! Blah, no more complaints as next week will be another 6 days of field camp!
Sit-test commenced with a 8km road march; full battle order (vest+ rifle+ field pack), it took us like hours before we reached our camp site. First thing we did, was stripped till left with our undies and had what we called powder-bath (literally powder all over, from face to feet) in front of the sergeants and had them inspected before we put on our clothing. Yea it sounded humiliating but the experience was fun la! LOL! Our first night was sleeping in a open field under a ground sheet, and I kena some uneven platform that I just cant rest through the night. ZZZZZ

2nd day followed with a 4km fast march (this was the really tiring and demanding one, you’d had to walk darn fast w/0 running, trust me walking fast is more tiring then running, I would rather had full battle order and had a 8km road march). Right immediately was our sit-test, where we are split into details given mission to accomplish as a group. Kang-chiong spider like me crubra some mission when I was assigned as the IC, LOL!! @___@

Yet again, the process was tiring, but once complete it was really ‘AHHH I complete it!’ with a smile =]

Had another 12km.16k,24km road march, field camp, final IPPT test, SOC to go before I can start to slack, looking forward for that that! Oh yea, I was in the company drill squad, hopefully the team will win something!
Thank Melvin for your advice for the sit-test and your prayer & uncle for your encouragement too!
